Why we do what we do?

SideDoor Youth Centre is intentional about creating a fun and safe place for teenagers to hang out. It is a place for students to feel like they belong, while building lasting friendships. We have discovered that there are many teens in our community who do not have a place to call their own. SideDoor Youth Centre is striving to meet the needs of families in the community and giving students the ability to make positive connections with those who live around them.

Who is the youth centre for?

It's for students in grades 6-12.

When do I come to drop-in?

Monday-Friday, 5 days a week, our doors are open at 3:30pm.

Check out our Facebook page for updates.

How much does it cost?

Drop-in is free!! There are times when we do off-site events that may require a small fee, but otherwise everything, including food, is free at SideDoor.

Do I have to register?

Yes. We do have a registration form that we ask you to fill out. This helps us serve you better and gives us the information that we need in case of emergency. You can register here.

What can I expect?

There are a variety of different activities that happen during drop-in hours. SideDoor is ultimately a place where you can hang out with people your age and can get help with homework if you need it. Whether you like sports, table games, video games, music, art, homework, hang out, or free food, drop-in is a place where you can be yourself! We are also open to new activities that interest you.  Don't be shy!

How do I know that SideDoor is safe?

All of our staff and volunteers are screened and trained to help serve you better. Key staff are also trained in First Aid.
